Why the SIP School was formed

The SIP industry is one of the fastest growing segments of present day construction. The use of SIPs has enjoyed steady growth for several years, boosted by growing concern for the environment and the increases in energy prices that have been apparent in recent years and are expected to continue into the future.

Throughout the many years of selling and building with SIPs, manufacturers and distributors alike are constantly asked, "If SIPs are so good, then why doesn't everybody build with them?" The explanation is simply the lack of education in our industry. The shortage of trained and qualified installers and builders has been one of the greatest frustrations to sellers and buyers alike.

Homeowners want to build a SIP house because they know it will provide them the comfort and affordable living they desire, yet they often are forced back into timber frame building when they cannot find builders who can incorporate SIP construction into a project. Manufacturers run into similar difficulties when projects that are perfect for SIP construction cannot be closed because of concern for lack of qualified installers. The SIPSchool was formed to fill the need of education in the industry. We drawn upon many years of experience in an effort to tailor curriculums that educate buyers, sellers, and builders/installers about SIPs.
